Mario Holder is a Barbadian Artist whose work is express mainly through the medium of acrylic on canvas . His work is inspired mostly by the Natural world, to be more specific plants, humans amongst Natural landscapes.
In 2013 , The whole trajectory of my life shifted after Breaking my neck and damaging my spinal cord , the recovery and healing became my number concern and part of that process included healing not just on a physical level but also emotionally. Painting played a huge role on getting that stuck unexpressed stress out and it brought me back into a feeling of safety and confidence back into my life. The desire to just be, in nature, in a forest somewhere was what my body and mind craved the most and while i couldn’t physically be there in found that I could create that feeling in my own mind and i could bring what was on my mind on to canvas.
